The Gespublica research team, led by Professors Lourdes Torres and Vicente Pina, has been recognised by the Government of Aragon as a Team of Excellence. Its main field of research is focused on the accounting, auditing and management of public sector entities. It studies, among other aspects: public sector accounting at international level, the analysis of efficiency and quality of public services, performance indicators in public administration, private-public partnership initiatives in the provision of public services, e-government,….
The publication of numerous academic papers in international journals included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) and the Journal Quality List (JQL), as well as its participation in research programs at European and Spanish levels, show the research experience of the Group. Its presence in the main accounting and public sector management congresses and conferences and numerous research stays in European Universities also indicate a high degree of internationalization. The Group transfers the results of its activity to society through several contracts, including the translation into Spanish of the International Financial Reporting Standards and the International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
